ACC offers telehealth counseling for Alaskans seeking health, wellness, and balance. Many of ACC’s counselors specialize in working with Alaska’s first responders. We make accessing counseling services easy, quick, and accessible. We provide appointments within 1-7 days for first responders. Our first responder counselors have various personal connections to the first responder world, including being spouses of active LEOs. We recognize the multiple barriers that prevent first responders from seeking help, and work hard to mitigate these barriers by providing professional, confidential, trauma informed, and culturally competent counseling services.
Payments
Bill all insurance plans except Medicaid/Medicare/Tricare. In network with Blue Cross Blue Shield.
Treatment
Individual, couples and group therapy for first responders using modalities including: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Mindfulness, and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).
In addition to clinical services for first responders we provide training in wellness, building peer support teams, and other mental health topics. We provide clinical oversight to peer support teams. We have contracts with multiple municipal police departments to provide culturally competent EAP services.
