The National Fraternal Order of Police is pleased to be partners with National Faith & Blue Weekend (NFBW). This initiative, with the participation of every major national law enforcement organization and representing every faith tradition, reinforces the connections between law enforcement professionals and the communities they serve through the front doors of houses of worship. NFBW is co-convened by MovementForward, Inc., and the US DOJ Office of Community Oriented Policing Services (COPS). At the heart of NFBW is building bridges through locally organized activities by a house of worship and law enforcement agency, which include forums and town halls, peace and unity walks/marches, picnics, athletic events, vigils and other activities that foster an environment of problem-solving, resolution and reconciliation.
NFBW consists of quarterly “Days of Engagement” held during the year that lead into, and plan for, the weekend that is held each October. The best way to get involved is to sign up for the NFBW email list to receive updates about upcoming programming. You can also inquire directly by emailing info@faithandblue.org.
