Requires a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice/public administration, or a related field with a master’s degree preferred. Requires 10 years in law enforcement, three years at a higher command level. A minimum of six years of leadership experience that involves directing and managing employees. Experience working in a K-12 environment is preferred. Texas Peace Officer license & Master Peace Officer certification from the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement (TCOLE) or a similar certification.
