Reporting to the associate vice president for safety and risk services & chief resilience officer, the chief of police leads, directs, and strategically plans the comprehensive functions and operations of the University of Oregon Police Department (UOPD), organizing and overseeing the activities of UOPD’s three major divisions: Administrative Services, Security, and Law Enforcement Services. The position requires a bachelor’s degree (master’s preferred) in criminal justice, public administration, or a related discipline, with progressive administrative, supervisory, and management experience in a variety of law enforcement or public safety assignments.
