Dear Senator Casey and Senator Fetterman,
I am writing on behalf of the members of the National Fraternal Order of Police to support the recommendation of the Pennsylvania State Lodge that R. Todd Eagen be considered for appointment to the United States District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania.
Throughout his prestigious career, Mr. Eagen has established himself as an exceptional attorney and represented our law enforcement organizations with distinction for over two decades. This includes over 20 years of experience in collective bargaining cases and grievance and interest arbitration. Mr. Eagen has proudly represented FOP members before organizations such as the National Labor Relations Board, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the Pennsylvania Labor Relations Board, the Pennsylvania Human Relations Commission, the Workers Compensation Office of Adjudication, and the Pennsylvania Unemployment Compensation Board of Review. Mr. Eagen has also participated as an arbitrator in over 300 interest arbitrations.
In addition to his extensive law experience, Mr. Eagen worked as a clerk for Judge William J. Nealon Jr., who served on the bench of the Middle District of Pennsylvania until his death in 2018. He has proven himself to be a proud servant of his community and a true friend of the FOP. We believe strongly that Mr. Eagen is highly qualified for this esteemed and respected position on the Federal bench and that he will serve the people of Pennsylvania with integrity and distinction.
On behalf of the more than 373,000 members of the Fraternal Order of Police, I ask you to recommend R. Todd Eagen for the position of Federal judge for the Middle District of Pennsylvania. If I can provide any additional assistance, please do not hesitate to contact me or Executive Director Jim Pasco in our Washington, D.C. office.
Sincerely,
Patrick Yoes
National President
