Washington, DC - Patrick Yoes, National President of the Fraternal Order of Police, reacted to news that President Trump signed a new Executive Order that would impact collective bargaining for most Federal employees involved in “intelligence, counterintelligence, investigative, or national security work.”
Yesterday, in discussions with White House officials, the FOP was given assurances that “agency police officers, security guards, and firefighters” would not be impacted by the Executive Order.
“President Trump understands our public safety mission and is a strong supporter of all our men and women in uniform,” Yoes said. “We’re grateful that he took steps to preserve the ability of law enforcement officers to have a voice at the table to discuss workplace issues like officer safety and wellness.”
The Executive Order is entitled “Exclusions From Federal Labor-Management Relations Programs.”
