Bipartisan Group of Representatives Request Secretary of Defense Take Action to Issue Credentials to DoD Civilian Officers
Representative Don Bacon—along with a bipartisan group of Representatives, including Representatives Crenshaw, Demings, Evans, Fitzpatrick, Keller, Lamb and Luria—sent a letter to U.S. Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin requesting that he direct the appropriate U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) component agencies and departments to take the necessary steps to ensure that all civilian law enforcement officers within DoD are issued credentials or identification cards that clearly identify them as law enforcement officers at no cost to them.
