Rob Pride

National Trustees Chairman

Rob Pride has been a member for the Fraternal Order of Police since 1994. He is a Colorado native and started his law enforcement career as a reserve deputy at age 19. Over his 25+ year career, Rob has worked as a corrections officers, patrol officer, gang enforcement, narcotics detective, general investigations detective, and currently serves as a Sergeant in his patrol division.

When he first began working in law enforcement, Rob was mentored by officers who were active in the FOP, but he hadn’t been active himself early in his career other than being a member. During a critical incident a couple of years after joining the FOP, Rob experienced the fraternalism and support from his brothers and sisters in his lodge which embodies the spirit of the FOP. It was then that the desire to give back to the FOP and show others the same support he had received during a tough time began

Rob was a charter member of his current lodge in Loveland, Colorado, and would later serve on that board as Chairman of the Labor Council, State Trustee and a 6-year term as President. He was elected to the Colorado State FOP Executive Board in 2008 and has since served in the positions of Sergeant-at-Arms, 2nd Vice President and currently as the National Trustee. During his time as National Trustee, Rob served on the National Recruitment Committee. Rob was honored to be elected to the National FOP Executive Board as Chairman of the Trustees at the 63rd Biennial National FOP Conference in Nashville.

During his time as an FOP leader, Rob has been an active voice for officer wellness and police suicide prevention. Rob was active in a 5-year effort by the Colorado FOP to pass legislation in their state to recognize PTSD for First Responders as a worker’s compensation injury and raise awareness about police suicide. Rob serves on the Colorado FOP Legislative Action Committee and has testified before legislators on various bills surrounding medical marijuana, drug enforcement laws, retirement and other bills of importance to law enforcement.

Rob holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice Administration and is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Emergency Management from Columbia Southern University.
