Roger Mayberry

National Sergeant at Arms

Roger Mayberry was first elected National Sergeant at Arms at the 60th Biennial National Conference in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Roger has been a member of the FOP since 1990 and has served in numerous Local, State and National FOP positions including California State Lodge president since 2000. Before that he served as a National Trustee. Roger served as President of California Lodge 1 in LA County from 1996 to 2014. On the National level, Roger served as Chairman of the Education Services Committee for two years, member of the Labor Committee and adviser on the Legal Defense Plan Committee.

Roger has an extensive background in legislative- and labor-related issues. He brings over 25 years of experience and background in collective bargaining, arbitration and grievance handling to the office of Sergeant at Arms and the E-Board. Roger was the first full-time Labor Field Representative for the Labor Services Division. Roger handled labor-related issues for FOP members, Local Lodges and State Lodges. He organized and assisted with representation campaigns and election processes, worked on representation campaigns, negotiated labor contracts and memorandums of understanding, developed lesson plans and instructed on labor issues.

In 2004, Roger retired from the Los Angeles County Sheriffs' Department with over 30 years of law enforcement service.
